Project 4 Plans

I have changed my idea for my project slightly. I found this book by Life magazine called "100 Photographs that have changed our World" and there is a whole section on war. After looking at the images, this is what I want my project to be about. I have scanned the images and plan to use them on the gears to show how one war leads to another and how each war is somewhat influenced by the one before it, and so on. This is my plan for how the gears will look, layered on each other.

Project 4 Idea

For our open project, I want to make a clock with visible gears behind it. I want to show the passing of time by using these gears as ways to mark decades. I will have a large gear with an important image from that decade with smaller gears surrounding it with other significant images from that decade. I think I will do the last four decades, the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000's. The piece will be 3D, with the images mounted on matboard and then layers on top of each other with a clock on the very top layer.

Project 3 Ideas

For the tree project, project 3, I want to make a fantasy treehouse that I could see myself living in. It would also be suitable for my animals to live in too. I want to make a treehouse because whenever I am at home, I am constantly thinking of how I could make my apartment more suitable to how I would like it to be, such as decorations and painting, as well as furniture.
